The second of three new Clayton Equipment CBD90 locomotives, a 90 tonne Hybrid Bo-Bo locomotive designed and built in the UK for over 20 years is now on the move to its new home at Tata Steel, Port Talbot where it will be used to transport 2,500 tonne loads across the works.
As part of Tata Steel's requirement to replace their ageing locomotive fleet, Clayton Equipment are proud to supply several new Hybrid Diesel locomotives. The low emission, EU Stage V compliant Diesel engine configuration will enable Tata Steel to realise significant financial savings from reduced fuel costs and lower maintenance.
